Questions about the Perry Convention?
We have the answers.
When you call the emergency number, 911, tell the dispatcher your location. If you do not have immediate access to a telephone, please send someone to the Information Center in McGill Marketplace. He or she may need to meet the emergency vehicle and lead it to the site of the emergency. To aid emergency personnel in locating the site of an emergency in a parking area, those needing help should turn on their motorhome or towing vehicle's emergency flashers and sound their horn.
In the event of an RV fire emergency, please evacuate by foot. Do not attempt to move your RV, because this may present a dangerous situation for fire equipment attempting to enter the area, as well as for others attempting to evacuate on foot.
The numbers that follow may be given to friends or relatives so you may be contacted while at FMCA's "Southern Charm" convention. You must, however, be sure to fill out a locator card and return it to the Information Center in McGill Marketplace so you can be found in case of an emergency. The family member Information Center and emergency phone number is 513-909-1433. The exhibitor information and emergency numbers is 513-909-1434 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. After 5:00 p.m., the Information Center emergency number is 513-909-1433.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a FMCA International Convention and RV Expo?
It’s four days of everything RVing! Imagine one place where you can meet new friends, renew acquaintances, look through new RVs, shop for items to make your traveling experience more enjoyable, learn more about your RV and the travel lifestyle, and be entertained.
Why should I attend?
FMCA conventions draw folks for a variety of reasons.
Some come for the fellowship. Friends who travel together or who plan opportunities to meet down the road find FMCA International Conventions a great place to gather.
Others are interested in finding that next RV to purchase. Many major manufacturers and dealers bring their best and newest products to display. It's the best place to compare brands and shop for that next home on wheels.
Conventions also provide attendees with an opportunity to have service performed on their RV. Knowledgeable technicians discuss problems with owners at the conveniently located FMCA Service Center or at their display. Repairs are arranged on-site or at an off-site repair facility.
Supplier and component exhibits offer one-stop shopping. Everything a RV owner needs and much more can be found in the exhibit buildings.
Learning is a major component of any convention, and FMCA’s seminar program is second to none. Featuring technical seminars, educational seminars, make-and-take craft classes, and fun, fitness, and health sessions. If you’re serious about discovering more about the RV lifestyle, this is the place to be.
FMCA showcases entertainment appropriate for all ages, both throughout the day and in the evening.
Explore the locale with a professional tour company guiding the way. Many tours provide a unique opportunity not offered to individuals visiting on their own – and you get to enjoy the tour with your RV friends.
Getting to or leaving the convention site provides opportunities to explore parts of the country you may not otherwise see.
FMCA conventions are unique. There’s nowhere else that you can find so much “RVing” going on in one place. Come experience it for yourself!
LEARN MORE IN PERRY – RV Basics is a two-and-a-half-day workshop to help owners get acquainted (or reacquainted) with an RV’s operation and systems. Taught by industry experts, this class is designed to build confidence so you can relax and enjoy your RV without worry.

Absolutely! Although there will not be a dedicated Youth Program at this event due to school being in session, there will be things for kids to do on grounds and in the Central Georgia area.
Can I bring friends who aren’t members?
Absolutely! If they already own an RV, they can register for a Full Registration, which entitles them to a free one-year membership with FMCA (if eligible).
Passports are available if your friends choose not to camp on the grounds but still would like to visit the exhibits, go to seminars, participate in social events, and enjoy entertainment. You can purchase a Full Event Passport (pre-registration available) or a Daily Passport (pay at the public gate).
A Day Pass entitles the guest to visit the coach display and exhibits only and is available for $10 per day per person/$25 for a family of three or more.
Is my pet welcome?
Yes. Pets must be kept on a leash in the family parking areas unless they are providing service assistance. Pets are not permitted in the exhibit halls or seminar rooms. Please be considerate of others and clean up after your pets. We ask pet owners to complete the pet registry located on the back of the locator card.
When will I receive my confirmation packet?
Confirmation packets will be mailed as early as January 25, 2018. Your parking credentials must be mailed to you or held at will call for you to pick up.
What happens if I have to cancel?
You will receive a refund if your request is received in writing by March 15, 2018. Your confirmation packet, including credentials for parking and badges, must be returned before a refund will be processed. All cancellations are subject to a $20 handling fee.
Are the exhibits open to the public?
They sure are! FMCA members AND guests who choose not to camp on the grounds are welcome to attend
There are two public ticket options:
Daily Public Gate fee of $10 per person or $25 for a family of three or more (available onsite only) give attendees access to the coach displays and indoor exhibits.
Passports [link to registration page] give you access to all exhibits, seminars, and entertainment. Perfect for people who choose not to camp on grounds but want to experience all of the fun and entertainment. Passports are available for one day ($50 per person paid at the public gate) or for the full event ($175 per couple; $155 for individual).
Public parking will be available at the Georgia National Fairgrounds via the North Gate off of Golden Isles Parkway. The public gate ticket booth will be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
What is Will Call?
If you would prefer that your credentials not be mailed, either because you’re traveling or won’t be able to pick up mail, you can have them held at Will Call for pickup when you arrive. You will be provided instructions via e-mail about where to pick up your credentials as the convention nears.
What is the Holding Area?
This is where attendees meet friends so they can park together, and where those who arrive prior to assigned parking days can wait for their assigned time to enter the grounds.
Where will everyone be parked?
All parking will be at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter. The parking lots are asphalt and grass.
Will electric service be available?
Both 30-amp and 50-amp electric service is available for an additional cost. If you desire to have electric service, do so when you register. An additional 10-gauge electric cord may be necessary if your RV cord does not reach the provided 30-amp or 50-amp receptacle. FMCA also encourages members to have surge protectors on power cords leading to the electrical panel. Electric service for all family members ends at 9:00 a.m. Monday, March 19.
What is a Welcome Bag (aka Goody Bag)?
The Welcome Bag contains your program, daily schedule of events and map, and the “Today” newsletter, among other items. Welcome Bags will be distributed in the parking lots in exchange for your locator card. Locator cards also can be exchanged for a Welcome Bag at the FMCA Office, and beginning on Monday, March 11, in the Information Center from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Welcome Bag is also known as a Goody Bag.
How is the weather?
Beautiful! Be sure to pack your sunglasses, but don’t forget your umbrella! It's usually very pleasant in March in middle Georgia with mostly sunny days, but it is the start of spring, so don’t be surprised by rain. Expect daytime temperatures in the low 70s, with nighttime temperatures dropping into the mid-40s.
When Can I Arrive?
In your confirmation packet you will receive an arrival date card that indicates what day you should arrive. Because of the number of RVs that will be parked prior to the beginning of the convention, it’s necessary for us to split up the arrival dates. Most attendees will be parked Tuesday, March 13, and Wednesday, March 14. We do ask some volunteer groups to arrive earlier. If you are unsure of your arrival date, call FMCA’s Events Department at (800) 543-3622. Also, if you cannot make it on the date indicated on your arrival card, let us know and we can make the necessary changes.
