FMCA “Supersized” Book Club

Looking for a book to read this summer? Join the FMCA Supersized Book Club in Gillette! In the spirit of RVing along the open road and to celebrate the convention’s Western theme, FMCA is encouraging attendees to read The Highwayman by Craig Johnson.

Johnson is a New York Times best-selling author of more than a dozen novels in the Walt Longmire mystery series — whose character is also the inspiration for the popular “Longmire” crime drama on Netflix.

Join the first FMCA Supersized Book Club on Saturday, July 21. Johnson will be on-site to lead a discussion about The Highwayman. He’ll also answer audience questions and sign copies of his books . . . perhaps along with the airing of a “Longmire” episode.

If you’d like to join in,

  1. Pick up a copy of The Highwayman to bring with you.

Fun For The Kids In Gillette

If you’ll be traveling to Gillette with your kids or grandkids, you’ll want to treat your little explorers to one or more of the great off-site outings arranged by FMCA’s Youth Committee.

Thursday, July 19
Participants will visit Gillette’s Rockpile Museum where they’ll learn how energy, railroading, and other developments shaped Wyoming. Kids also will participate in a scavenger hunt presented by museum staff.

Friday, July 20
Friday promises to be a can’t-miss opportunity for kids to visit one of the area’s iconic sites, Devils Tower National Monument. After getting plenty of pictures to send back home to friends and family, the group will travel to Vore Buffalo Jump, an important archaeological site.

For many attendees, the primary reason they come to FMCA conventions is for the learning opportunities available through the seminar program. Where else can you find so much information available in one place? Throughout the four-day event, industry experts, manufacturer representatives, and service providers convey the latest information about RVs and the traveling lifestyle. Below you’ll find the full schedule of events; the seminar schedule; and the seminar descriptions. Check back for digital version of the “Wanted In Wyoming” event program, which should be available soon.
